Alice's first meeting with
autistic child
Teacher Alison
Milano smiles, watching the positive reaction from
this autistic
student,
"This is the first time he has ever sat down and
participated in
anything. Normally he continually walks around by himself,
not unhappy just in his own little world."
Alice held her second Vocal Toning for kidz group, meeting this gentle soul
for the first time. "Every now and then he glanced over at us making our
vowel sounds. When we were done with our vocal toning I brought out the
instruments and invited him to join us. He was completely connecting with
us, listening attentively to instructions on how to play the different bowls. The
Tibetan & crystal bowls must be played softly, and he played them just right! Then I
gave him the drum and encouraged him to play as loudly as he wished.
What a grand time he had.
He took my hand, made eye contact
and was just beaming while I showed him how to play the different
instruments. I look forward to continuing
vocal toning and sound healing with him and the other children and welcome
more children to join us."
In our second group toning session he participated in the entire session
along with three other children. We had a great time together.
In each session there was a noticeable improvement with the
children.
