Dr. Steve Piechota : I just want to say the real purpose of this show is
to bring you complementary medicine ideas. Ideas that complement the
conventional system. Sometimes they might seem a little controversial to
you but the intention is really to teach you the 4 R’s. How to retard
the aging process, to reverse disease, restore your vigor and actually
reclaim some of your health destiny, instead of just being manipulated
by the system that we know, the ailing health care system that we know
in this country . We like to think that in a small way we’re acting as a
spokesman for what we feel is a new paradigm in medicine. And also
actually a new paradigm in spirituality. We like to think we bring new
ideas and the show tonight will reinforce that idea, because you’re
going to be exposed to some very exciting ideas. so with all that said
I’d like to welcome Alice Richard and Sarah to the show. Alice was a
guest on the show a couple of months ago and she’s a sound healer.
Welcome Alice
Alice: Hi Steve
Dr. Steve Piechota: Alice is just an incredible human being. She’s got
this way about her that’s kind of magical and a very positive persona
that you just feel better in her presence. Alice why don’t you give us a
little bit of your history? And maybe if you want to talk about your
training and exactly what type of practice you have in Winsted, CT
Alice: Sure, Well I started out being a “normal” person, working as a
database manager, also in credit and collections and managing a natural
gas business. A few years ago I found out about sound and vibrational
healing through some personal issues that I was going through and it had
such a great impact on me that I quit that wonderful 9 -5 job with the
hour drive and went full time into showing people how powerful
Vibrational Medicine is. Since that time I’ve met with people to use
Tibetan and crystal bowls, tuning forks, and different forms of
vibration in two ways. One is called a Bliss session where the client is
laying on a massage table and I always say I’m literally amping up their
frequency, which in turn brings them to a natural state of wellness. The
other thing that I do with sound is to teach people how to use their
voice for healing, in a popular art called Vocal Toning, and I’m working
with children that are autistic or ADD, working now with children ages 4
and up, working now with teenagers and adults with different issues that
may be emotional, physical or spiritual with great results.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Just to reinforce what Alice is saying and for
anyone out there who’s a little skeptical with what’s been said. I want
to remind everybody and we’ve discussed this on past shows…All matter is
Sound and even in the bible there was the Word and then the physical
world became manifest so energy and matter are all the same, so Sound
plays a big role so we’re all vibrating, electrical light bodies and
sound can play a big role in correcting ah certain imbalances that may
occur within our bodies as far as the flows of energy. That’s basically
the principle that sound healing works on. Am I on track with the
principles Alice?
Alice: Yes and I usually explain that there are three different states,
or types of energy and frequencies. There’s lower states and that would
include any type of physical pain and we look at the emotional side that
would include grief, depression, bipolar condition and we also pick up
energies from our environment and I think that people are very aware of
that these days. when they go to work, at home… the type of environment
they’re in has a great effect on their well being. So the idea is with
sound and meditation and Vocal Toning is that your body becomes the
instrument and sound will very very quickly shift your frequency or
vibration or energy state from one of low vibration to one of higher
vibration which is equivalent to the state of wellness. I’m excited to
have Sarah here because she is one of many examples of someone that said
Gee’s show me how to do something with Sound, and that’s when I’m
serving purpose, is when I can show someone else and watch their life
change and blossom in positive ways.
Dr. Steve Piechota: I should preface before we get into talking with
Sarah, some of these ideas around the world it’s actually been
demonstrated that Sound Healing can have some pretty remarkable effects.
In China thousands of patients with liver and pancreatic cancer
literally had their tumors cooked by using sound therapy. Evidently the
sound raises the temp of cells to about 140 degrees far. usually killing
them instantly. They’ve also done some studies in the Royal Marsden
Hospital showing that using sound therapy can actually act as a
knifeless type surgery on some liver cancers and other organ tumors. So
this might be a wave of the future, I’ve mentioned a book that is called
Vibrational Medicine written by Richard Gerber who’s an MD. If anyone
wants to look into this type of healing that might be a great book to
read because it will definitely reinforce a lot of your spiritual
beliefs as well. It’s a wonderful explanation of how we’re going from
Newtonian medicine which more focused on the molecular and cellular to
the Einsteinium type medicine that takes into account our spiritual and
multi-dimensional nature. That we are far more than the physical body,
that we have other bodies that are co-existent with that physical body
and once we learn to appreciate that fact we can open ourselves up to
some real healing energies that will actually heal the physical body.
Now I just want to talk a little about your bliss session. It’s a group
thing or an individual session?
Alice: It’s for individuals or couples…and you lay on a
massage table and most people fall asleep within 5-10 minutes. I
use
Tibetan and crystal bowls, tuning forks, perhaps drums or voice, it’s
completely a vibrational experience and it’s very very relaxing. People
that come with some type of physical pain, most often there’s a
noticeable difference in one session, most times the pain will be
completely gone. That could be from a repetitive stress injury,
arthritis, many different issues.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Ok people out there are always hearing about Tibet.
I’m going to mention an interview I heard on Coast to Coast with an
American monk named Steven Hairfield. Steven was a Vietnam veteran he
explained an incredible urge to go to India, he didn’t know why, but he
sold all his possessions and went over there. He was really on a journey
by foot and he was walking toward Tibet, something was driving him that
way. One hot day he came upon a shack selling drinks and he bought one
while he sat under a tree. All the sudden he hears this voice in back of
him saying Stephen we’ve been expecting you. And he turned around and
said there was a lovely monk with beautiful eyes and he asked him how he
even knew his name. The monk explained to him that they had actually
been calling him. That they had tuned into his vibration and knew that
he was a searcher and so consequently they took him up into Tibet and he
spent many years at a monetary there. He used to jog 25 miles on the
weekend there, and an old monk would join him. The old monk never even
took a deep breath on the 25 mile run. One day he asked him how old he
was but with no concept of real age the monk only could reference wars,
back as far as the mid 1800’s. And he said it’s just so incredible with
these monks could achieve. He actually saw them walk on water, monks
that levitate in meditation, or go into ice filled lakes and melt the
snow around them in a meditative state. Now he’s written 4 or 5 books,
and the host got into a really interesting discussion of the quickening
going on that is really confusing people. I thought we should get this
message out … once we go too far into materiality and lose our sense of
our spiritual nature the pendulum actually goes too far over and that
this can actually create changes in the earth’s polarity and result in
changing weather patterns, volcanic activities, tsunami’s, you name it,
and basically man can basically destroy himself with his own negativity
and sinful type behavior. It was his feeling that we should get our act
together very soon because it’s a dangerous situation in human history
right now.
I definitely feel with shows like ours, with the kind of work you’re
doing by getting this message out to our listeners and re-awakening
their sense of their real being, which is spiritual in nature, and you
did mention that to me earlier didn’t you? That we’re really spiritual
beings with a physical body.
Alice: Right, Right and you know we really don’t start out with a
physical body out all. We start out as that thought in our parents mind.
We start out as an etheric body, and the etheric body is actually a
blueprint of the genetic imprint, ah are we going to be male, female,
etc. this etheric layer or level allows the physical body to start
forming. One of the examples I often use so people can understand the
importance of healing the root cause. One if you keep going to the
doctor and they keep saying to you I cannot find anything on x-ray or
with the 100 tests we did, it’s a good indicator to you that the issue
is one of your other bodies, such as the emotional body or the etheric.
So we saw in war a lot of men losing limbs and lets say they lost below
their knee yet they still experienced pain in their ankle or foot that
was no longer there. Well what was still there in existence was the
etheric ankle or foot with the memory of the trauma. And it’s a person
that works with those other bodies, with our selves in our complete
wholeness, that is able to affect the healing that is necessary. Those
issues are not going to be picked up on x-rays and by traditional
medical tests. So I see a lot of people that say well I’ve been tested
for this and on and on, and it’s usually it’s not even a conversation we
need to get into because I know or someone that works with energy
healing will know enough to look at those other bodies and thus the idea
of holistic healing.
Dr. Steve Piechota: I thought we might mention at least a little about
chakras because with the Sound Healing you’re actually improving the
flow of energy in our chakras right?
Alice: Right with Sound Healing or Vocal Toning we can very quickly
balance our energy centers.
Dr. Steve Piechota: So let me just explain to our listeners a
little…According to the eastern philosophies we have these energy
vortexes in our body called chakras and there are 7 chakras. Basically
they’re like little transformers that take the subtle energies of the
universe and bring them into our physical body and actually direct them
to the 7 endocrine glands that we have and corresponding organs around
them. So if this energy is flowing into the body thru the acupoints of
acupuncture into the chakras and eventually into the endocrines and our
organs that can actually put a person into really perfect health. And
that’s why people like these monks live so long. They have this free
flow of the higher energies which come from the creative force in the
universe. The chakras many times if you have some emotional problems the
flow of energy will be blocked and that’s how these organs might become
ill. The heart chakra is really important and a bridge between the
higher and lower ones and it’s really important to have a strong heart
chakra. Because if you have a good heart chakra goin’ that’s when you
can create unconditional love in your heart and that will actually give
you perfect physical health, in essence, and you can go even higher and
you can get to the crown chakra and that’s when we talk about
illumination, enlightenment and ascension, becoming one with the
universe, basically the salvation of the human, and that’s what Christ
was trying to teach us all. That we all have that ability to go that
high as he did. With all that said I think you now how a good foundation
for listening to Sarah. Sarah is a young 23 yr old girl, and she had
some real problems and I think she’s going to relate all of that and
talk about her experience with Alice Richard and what Alice did for her.
Sarah: My mom found an article in the local paper (about Alice) and she
just had this intuition that Alice was the right person for me, that
everything that was in the article seemed to make sense. I had just
walked away from all my friends due to a substance abuse environment and
I had no one positive or negative in my life. I didn’t want to be around
that negative temptation anymore. I was dealing with anxiety, fear, I
was basically afraid of everything. Doctors were putting me on so many
medications for my bipolar disorder and anxiety that I ended up in the
hospital due to one of those medications. I just couldn’t sit still, it
hyped me up too much which was very scary. About a month afterwards I
went to see Alice. Alice got me in right away, she knew that I needed to
go see her. Then I basically had no clue what I was getting into. The
metaphysical world. I had no idea what that meant. I had seen a lot of
healers before. A Reiki healer, a hypnotist, and they all said one thing
that stuck in my head, that I needed to be grounded. And to be grounded
was like a foreign language to me. I had no clue what that meant. So I
went to see Alice. It was very strange to be around someone that was so
happy and peppy. Because I was around so many negative people in the
past. She had me do the Vocal Toning first to open up the chakras and it
was the strangest coolest thing I’ve ever tried. I never knew that was
such a thing as a natural high. A positive floating high. She went thru
the meditation with me which got my energy flowing and it was pretty
amazing to feel my bodies energy flowing and moving. The next step I
went into her bliss session which was really cool but I had to check
everything out first. I had so much anxiety so much fear at that time I
had to know exactly what she was going to do before she did it. As I
went home my head was spinning, it was so confused. My energy was so low
at the time it was going thru a transition to get higher vibrationally.
It’s not always right at first, so it was just emotional but I kept with
the toning and it felt good every time. Alice really believed in me so I
stuck with it and all I have to say is depression, bipolar energy
basically is low vibrational and it’s a not a replacement for the
medication for me it was a therapy for me. It was more successful than
seeing a therapist. It got me outside of my thinking mind and got me
into my true being, and got me grounded and it’s just worked miracles
for me. I have a new job, I’m in a creative art world in an art coaching
and consulting firm and I’m around positive people now. I learn from
things everyday, I don’t sweat the small stuff, I feel grounded, I feel
confident, I feel complete as a person. The toning, the meditation,
everything, is just amazing. My intuition has gotten stronger and I just
feel energy and know what I’m here for now.
Dr.
Steve Piechota: You mentioned that your intuitive senses have improved. Everyone out
there has to realize that we have two hemi-spheres to our brain. We have
the logical side, which we’re so imbued with and we also have our
intuitive or spiritual side. Unfortunately the way is developed we’re so
involved with the logical side of our brain that we’ve allowed the
spiritual intuitive side to kind of atrophy. And we really have to
reawaken that. Not just for ourselves, but teens like you and the
children and youngsters. Have you talked to any of your friends about
this?
Sarah: I have not spoke to my friends that in the substance abuse. I’ve
just walked away from them completely but I talk to a lot of new people
that I’ve met that are in the spiritual world. I’d like to get out there
and talk more to the people that want to get off the drugs and there is
a natural high, and it’s what we’re here for.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Do you feel, like I know Alice likes to work with
teenagers, that you might want to do something like that?
Sarah: I’ve always liked to work with .I think it’s best to start while
you’re young, 13- I know she deals with younger kids, it’s just going to
make your life so much better, so much more abundant, spiritual. You’re
going to basically get what you want out of life if you start it young.
Dr. Steve Piechota: I recall several yrs ago taking a neighbors child
out to pizza one nite. He was maybe 6 yrs old and for some reason I
mentioned the word soul, and he looked at me with a confused look and
said, “What’s a soul?” and I thought it was just so sad that a youngster
had never been taught the concept of soul. I think a lot of children
today are growing up in an educational system that gives them no sense
of the fact that we do have this higher nature and I mentioned earlier
the turmoil that’s going on in the world today and the misery that a lot
of people are being faced with, the emotional problems… if people had a
sense that we had this higher nature wouldn’t it be a beautiful world?
Sarah: Yes, definitely.
Alice: That’s the thing with Vocal Toning. As Dr. Phil would say it
connects you to your “authentic self” or soul.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Your higher self.
Alice: Yes, and watching these children transform with Vocal Toning. One
girl I was watching was too shy to play with the other kids, so she just
watched for a ½ hr while they played. We did the vocal toning, which is
just making simple vowel sounds, and she got to the 2nd tone and she was
just beaming and forgot all about her inhibitions. Was completely
connected and laughing.
Sarah: Amazing.
Alice : Then there was an autistic boy walking around the room holding a
baby doll, in his own world..until he heard us doing the toning. I bring
my crystal and Tibetan bowls to this after school program and allow the
children to play with them. This brought in this autistic child that had
never participated in anything, with the other kids, over he was playing
the instruments, there was eye connection, he was looking at me, holding
my hand, looking at the other children. So Sound is universal, there’s
no language barriers. I’ve talked with Tibetan monks with the OM, and
the tuning fork, and didn’t need an interpreter.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Its amazing especially the vowel sounds how
important they are right?
Sarah: Well I think that we’re in such a narrow minded world, black and
white world, that they really don’t think outside the box. You give the
kid a medication, give them a pill for his ADD, that’s his problem…It’s
not, it’s because his vibrational level is very low and he needs to
raise that up. Just don’t start your kids out on medication, go with the
spiritual outlet the meditation and the vocal toning and you‘ll be
amazed.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Do you think Sarah, I know there’s always this
argument of the separation of church and state, that we can’t really
teach students … I think wouldn’t it be great if we could really teach
students a complete education where there not just getting the facts and
figures of modern education. We
could actually work on their higher components, their ethical
backgrounds, their foundation for morality, for understanding their real
purpose in life.
Sarah: There would be a lot less substance abuse, a lot less rebelling,
a lot less crime if all that energy was raised. If they just had a class
for them where they could do meditation and get to realize their higher
self.
Dr. Steve Piechota: It’s unfortunate that we’ve fallen into this secular
world that has no appreciation and they do everything to thwart this
kind of development but it would be the salvation of our society I think
if we had a greater awareness of these things.
Charlie: Hi, good show. Basically Steve when you and I went to school
they did have spirituality in school by prayer. Cause prayer is a form
of meditation and unfortunately because of the state and church issue
they took prayer out of school and that’s the problems were in.
Dr. Steve Piechota: That’s part of it, that’s for sure. So many other
things that have developed in the last 40 or 50 yrs.
Charlie: That form of faith, to have a faith and belief in something
besides yourself.
I wanted to ask Alice, when I’m in a lot of pain. I have a lot of
chronic pain and arthritic issues and stuff I was born with, a deformed
hip etc. When my pain is so bad Alice I end up chanting when I get up in
the morning or when I go to bed at night and I can actually feel from
chanting, I can feel it go right to where my pain is -in my hip or knee.
Is that possible?
Alice: Of course! That’s fabulous! That’s what we’re doing with Vocal
Toning. Our body becomes the sound instrument, so by using our voice,
and you should check out one of our vocal toning groups..using your
voice people have-like Amrita Cottrell out in California, has fried her
own breast tumors. It’s worked on numerous issues. Yeah it would be fun
to work with you and stretch that out a little bit. But it’s a matter
always of a way to take a lower vibration and to raise it. So whether
that’s through a crystal or Tibetan bowl, your own voice, chanting -
we’re literally breaking up a lower denser vibratory rate of energy and
moving it. What happens to people is that whatever it is that’s a stress
in their life it always goes to those same weak spots. So what I teach
people how to do is to get grounded and to use some form of a simple
meditative technique, or vocal toning, or whatever floats your boat,
maybe it’s beating a drum or fishing, it doesn’t matter. You need to
find a way to say OK my body is containing this stress, I need to find a
way to keep it flowing. I have seen it work wonders with many different
issues.
Charlie: What I was amazed at and I noticed especially today , I woke up
this morning with so many different pains, that it was the vibration of
the sound that was going right to the area where it hurt. I couldn’t
believe that. That had never happened to me before.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Charlie you should know Alice has a group every
week.
Alice: I have a few vocal toning groups. One in Winsted every week on
Wed. and another that you need check my calendar on www.aliceviolet.com
for the dates and to pre-register because I travel for that one.
I’m also willing to come and teach groups of people. I’m going to be
working with a group of teens through a CREC program in Farmington.
Charlie: That’s funny I was in Winsted yesterday.
Alice: I saw you - you were that funny guy that was chanting down the
middle of Main Street weren‘t you! LOL
Charlie: The other thing too, I’ve been having Reiki done for the past
two years. I’ve learned Transcendental Meditation back in the 70’s and I
always feel that when I meditate I have some sort of out-of-body
experience and such relief of pain. Everything goes away it’s amazing.
When this young lady was just talking about her experiences I could
identify with what she was talking about. It’s a great thing because
it’s natural Alice, that’s the beauty of it all. Anybody and everybody
can do it. It’s like praying.
Dr. Steve Piechota: We all have that potential.
Charlie: I’m sure I’ll meet you soon at one of your seminars.
Alice: If there’s anyone out there that has a group, Sarah and I would
be happy to speak for instance a bipolar disorder group. Or a grief,
sound is phenomenal for grief.
Andy: The girl that was just on sounded confused in her life and I
believe the reason she did the things she did, went out looking for
love, because she didn’t have love the way she wanted it in her home
life so she went out and reached for love and this lady that’s on your
show now she reached for her. Let me tell you something, we need to face
and talk to our Lord. He’s the greatest healer of all. And people who
are so confused will go and listen to anyone in the whole world to help
them. It detours them for a moment of their aches and pains. I have
aches and pains everyday of my life and so do you Dr. Steve and I pray
myself to sleep there’s no greater healer in the world, not a human
being-only like you with medical stuff-but only God is the healer.
People with no love in their household will reach for everyone for any
type of love, feelings, and compassion.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Well I’m sure Sarah had some love in her family
because her mother is the one that directed her to go to see Alice.
Sarah: Yes
Alice: I do hear his point and you know healing doesn’t necessarily have
to be religious. Through prayer, or just a chant, or a meditation…we’re
invoking healing energy with our words and intentions.
Dr. Steve Piechota: Why do we ring the bells at communion in the
catholic church? That had a meaning, those vibrational things were there
for a reason. All these things had the foundations you know it’s just
that nobody taught people why we did certain things at mass. I mean the
early founders knew what it was about. It just that nobody ever passed
it on and taught anybody. Why do we put our fingers together when we
pray? Because it re-channels our psychic energy and makes us more
spiritual.
Alice: Like you opened the show with Steve, In the beginning there was
the Word and that word was Sound. That’s a very broad general
statement.. We’re connecting with our higher self or authentic self, you
can look at that that it all comes from God, Creator …but I’m also going
to also work with the person that doesn’t necessarily have that idea.
It’s a matter of them connecting to something greater than themselves,
greater than that pain.
Dr.
Steve Piechota: Exactly
Next Caller: I have a question and a comment. Perhaps the old speaking
in tongues may be a form of Vocal Toning?
Alice/Sarah: Yes
Caller:
And secondly how long does it take someone to learn toning using your
methods?
Alice: 3 - 5minutes
Caller: 3 -5 sessions?
Dr. Steve Piechota- No 3 -5 minutes she said
Alice: The idea is there is no right or wrong tone. When you hang up the
phone start making sounds and have fun with it. You are going to be
rebalancing and shifting your energy. I can probably teach you some fun
techniques and the group can be a really nice outlet and something
people get addicted to weekly…but there is no right or wrong tones.
Caller: You do this on a one-one basis also?
Alice: Yes I do a lot of private work with this as well, two community
colleges which are on my website.
Caller: And the word Universe, doesn’t that mean one sound?
Alice: Om? Yes I believe Universe does mean one sound.
Next Caller: Steve I was told 2 weeks ago that I have an overactive
thyroid. And I’m on medication until the 9th of March. If I don’t
respond to that they’re going to dry up my thyroid or operate and take
it out and I’m terrified of both. Anything you can tell me that would
help or make my thyroid heal?
Dr. Steve Piechota: Is your thyroid overactive C: Yes Steve: You have
hyper-thyroidism. There might even be a sound technique for the throat
chakra. Is there anything you know of Alice?
Alice: Yeah boy I’m hearing a lot of this issue with thyroid. I think
part of it is processed foods…cleansing the liver and gallbladder may be
quite helpful and certainly doing a vibrational healing session could be
quite supportive of that.
Dr. Steve Piechota: We do have a protocol I’d be happy to mail to you.
Caller: Thank you
Dr. Steve Piechota: Ok Alice why don’t you give us a little demo of your
vibrational bowl over there.
Alice: Ah (as she strikes the bowl) and I should probably give you my
phone number…860-738-8796
